Do I have to have any modeling experience?
No experience is needed to compete! Contestants from all walks of life participate! From those with no experience and others who are professional models. We had a contestant (Kelly Better) with no experience compete for the 2019 title. She took the Master Workshop class the day before the competition and ended up becoming the overall national title winner that year.
Do I have to live in the United States to participate?
No. International Models can participate. They must have their VISA and PassPort.
We are expanding to different countries. Be on the lookout to see if and when we will be in your county.
When and where is the competition this year?

Can I compete in more than one category?
No, contestants must pick only one category. Recommended height and size for categories are below. Miss Fashion Global reserve the right to change your category as they see fit at check-in at the competition.
1. Petite - Height 4’8 - 5’6 without heels / Size 00-08.
2. Curvy - Height 5’0 & up without heels / Size 10 & up
3. Fit - (athletic build) Height 5’0 & up without heels/ Size 00 - 8
4. Runway - Height 5’6 & up without heels / Size 00 - 08
5. 40 and over Height 4’ - up without heels/ Size 00 - up
6. Teenage 13 -17 Size 00 - up
Is there a state competition?
No. All contestants compete at Nationals.
If the competition is being held in your country, there is one location per country.

What happens during the competition?
Monday, and Tuesday Check-in to the hotel.
Tuesday is mandatory check-in at the hotel.
Tuesday, Master Workshop Class (optional for contestants)
Tuesday, 8 PM orientation and rehearsal for all models competing in nationals (mandatory) Dress code is casual
Wednesday, 10 AM the preliminary for Teens, Cury, 40, and over models.
Wednesday, 8 PM meet and greet. The dress code is all-white.
Thursday, 10 AM is the preliminaries for Fit, Petite, and Runway.
Friday is the awards ceremony at 4 PM. We will announce the winners who are advancing to the grand finale.

How many contestants will advance to the grand finale?
Over 70 models will advance and receive their national crowns and sashes.
*How will the contestants be judged?
Preliminaries competition is judged by 4 sub-categories: Runway, Freestyle, Evening Dress, and whether you were in compliance (meaning did you follow all the rules and regulations prior to the competition).
Finals are judged by 4 sub-categories: Overall appearance, Runway, Freestyle (Outfit of contestants choice)
Judging is based on a 10-point system:
10 pts for the runway walk, 10 pts for the freestyle walk, 10 pts for the dress walk, 10 pts for overall appearance, and 10 pts for compliance with rules and regulations.
What outfits are required for the competition?
In the runway category for the preliminary competition, contestants will wear the competition sash, Miss Fashion Global t-shirt, black leggings, and high heels. Contestants will wear leggings that is mandatory to purchase from the Miss Fashion Global website (no other leggings are allowed)
In the freestyle category for the preliminary competition, contestants will wear any outfit of their choosing.
In the dress category for the preliminary competition, contestants will wear a dress that is mandatory to purchase from the Miss Fashion Global website (no other dresses are allowed)
Meet and greet event dress attire is all white. The all-white outfit mandatory to purchase from the Miss Fashion Global website is (no other outfits are allowed)
During the awards, ceremony contestants will wear a red dress that is mandatory to purchase from the Miss Fashion Global website (no other dresses are allowed).
Contestants must have one evening dress, and freestyle outfit on standby in case they’re chosen to compete in the grand finale. The dress and feeestyle outfit on standby do not have to be purchased on our website. It is a dress and outfit of your choice.
When will I know if I got chosen to compete in the Miss Fashion Global Nationals Modeling Competition?
We will email you an acceptance letter if selected. This usually takes 15 minutes after you submit your application through our website at www.missfg.com/sign-up There will be a link in the letter for you to complete the registration.
Where will contestants stay?
This is part of our rules and regulations. It is mandatory for all contestants to book their rooms through Miss Fashion Global. We usually have two designated hotels. A deposit of $50 is required to hold your room. A hotel invoice will be emailed to all the contestants. The hotel invoice is set up for you to make payments. Mandatory to start your payments within 30 days after your registration. The hotel must be paid before October 1st. You will be staying at the hotel for a minimum of 5 nights. If taking the Master Workshop minimum of 6 nights.
Why is it Mandatory to book my room through Miss Fashion Global?
The designated hotels are sponsoring the competition. Room rates are adjusted by how much event space is used for the competition. The number of contestants who book rooms go towards our sponsorship rate the hotel offers. This helps lower the cost of the competition. The contestant's name must be on Miss Fashion Global’s hotel rooming list to compete. It also helps with the accountability and safety of every contestant.
Do you help with travel and hotel accommodations?
We have two things that can assist you in raising money for your journey to the competition.
We have an online photo contest (gogophotocontest) that raises money for you and supports our Humanitarian Program Operation SAFE.
Once you are registered you can request a sponsorship letter. It is an official letter of participation. It gives friends, family, local businesses, etc…

Do you offer training for the competition?
We offer a Master Workshop class, at the national competition. It is optional to participate! The runway portion of this class is taught by Victoria Henley from America’s Next Top Model. Detailed information about the Master Workshop will be in the competition packet that is emailed to every contestant.

Do I get anything out of this if I don’t place in the top 60?
Every contestant will receive a tiara and gift bag. You'll have the opportunity to meet photographers, fashion show producers, makeup artists, hairstylists, and modeling scouts. This is a chance to build your connections and network with people in the Fashion Industry. It will be an amazing experience! We get great feedback every year from everyone whether they placed or not. You will make lifelong friends, and memories, and forever be a part of the MFG family!
In addition contestants also have a chance to win the overall best runway walk award, best swimwear look, best model look, best-accessorized, Miss Congeniality, and People’s Choice award. These contestants also receive a crown/sash and automatically advance to the finals for a chance to win the overall title of Miss Fashion Global Universe.
Teen Winner’s
The overall teen winner of the Miss Fashion Global National Competition will receive the national crown, sash, trophy, scheduled photoshoots, $1,000.00 cash prize, and an invitation to a trip to New York Fashion Week,
Adult Winner’s
The overall winner of the Miss Fashion Global National Competition will receive the national crown, sash, trophy, scheduled photoshoots, a $3,000.00 cash prize, a trip to New York Fashion Week, be our guest at the Versace Manion, and a magazine cover shoots. Also, a chance to be published in MAXIM, FHN, GLAMOUR, HARPERS BAZAAR, and L'OFFICIEL Magazine. Feature on a Billboard in Times Square New York during the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
